Hi my name is actually Debbie, but I am also known as Dharlee. Let me tell you about myself. I have always been drawn to arts, crafts, anything creative. That’s probably why I became a hairdresser. While I still work with hair, I have had to limit the time I can work because of a disability. So I try to find other ways to express my creative side.
I see beauty in the world around me; I love gemstones, rocks, and minerals. When I saw my first wire wrapped piece of jewelry it just made so much sense to me to try the art out for myself. I love working with the different stones, and beads, and all the many metals that are available in today’s market. I was surprised to learn that this method of jewelry making is not new. It has been proven that it existed thousands of years before the time of Christ.
I really hope you like my creations and find something special to express your sense of style. If you see something you like and would prefer it in a different metal, please contact me. I would love to help you find a piece you could enjoy and wear with pride.
I stand behind everything I make and promise you quality in craftsmanship. With proper care, your jewelry should stand the test of time and be enjoyed for many generations to come!
Last month I was proud to have won 3rd place in a Wire Jewelry Design contest given by Preston Reuther. To say that I am honored is putting it mildly. Here is the piece that won. (It has found it’s new home by the way.) It was made with Vintage Brass, Garnets and White CZs. I called it Hearts Afire.
